Plumeria Growers and Collectors have become aware
that very little information is available for Plumeria Care based on
sound Horticulture Science. This fact has encouraged me to write Science
Based information articles on Plumeria Care. Many of the articles and
information is adaptable to many national and international locations
and is based on actual growing conditions at Kimis Plumeria a "Grow More
Fertilizer Products Research Farm". These articles are now available on
the above Web-Site Menus as
"Plumeria FAQs".
Also, we thank
A&L Canada Laboratories for granting us
permission to reprint their excellent and qualitative scientific article
"Why Foliar Feed"? We are publishing "How TO" pages for more
detailed information on growing plumeria.

At Kimis Plumeria close monitoring of the weather is of
utmost importance. We use a Davis Vantage Pro wireless for our
information. Our main unit where we receive the following input
is over fifteen feet above ground, away from structures and
large trees to get an accurate wind direction and speed, correct
air temp, UV reading, rainfall, and evotranspiration. Two other
unit’s measure the temperature in the canopy i.e. foliage area,
surface leaf moisture, and container moisture levels and
temperatures. This can give us the input necessary to confirm
some of our target supplements used for cold hardiness.
This year (2010) many plants with no frost or freeze protection
suffered no visible damage including leaf damage with recorded
temperatures to۠ 27.3° F. We now have available a direct report
of our local weather from our Davis independent weather
station in
cooperation with Weather Underground. The
information comes from our weather station via the internet.
